Well, I think it is O.K to put out a match clip or Inp as long as it was playable for both players. Otherwise, they wouldn't even start playing in the first place.
For an example, I still don't know who's Killerflower, or Boeing,.. etc, whoever those guys were, but I do even remember playing in their own server which was more than a while ago in the year of 2004.
As I was told, there were friends, or cousin (Boeing) of Laurel who live in the same town {Van City, Canada} where Dobba (Luarel) is. I believe that I had fun playing with Killerflower, and I also had a bad day
while listening the excuses of Boeing or whoever he was... Anyhow, I had about 90 to 100ms ping, but I believe it was playable while they had 0 ms ping. I didn't like the fact that I had too much ping, but it was better to play that way than playing in Anti3D.Server at that time.
I personally wouldn't mind if either I or he had a chance to record the Inp file to post anywhere as long as it would help the community to get involved in any type of activities that we could share with. Although it didn't happen, I do still hope to share an experience in a certain way as long as it is playable to show our daily activity that is called, " a casual match."
Therefore, I didn't even mind my Inp. being posted in the very first place by Vansible, without being told that he'd actually even recorded it that we played a while ago. At that time, Vansible and Nwaps were playing before I joined in their game and then, Nwaps wanted to watch our game as I still remember correctly. Anyhow, so we had fun playing the game for about 12 or 13 matches as people have seen the video clip that is still being posted since the day one. I do still appreciate that he made a video clip that I'd enjoy watching for more than many times, except that the video clip was too long. I think it is more important to record a Inp file in a short length, like something between 3 or 5 games per each Inp. That way, it makes easy to replay and rewatch over again, since you can not replay back and forth on MAME.
About a decent match, I am not sure if I have seen all of these Inps. as a decent match, but I'd still appreciate that he put out those Inp files to share with others. The rest is up to whoever people would watch it,or not. Since it is just meant to be a casual match on our daily-based activity in playing Samsho4, I do not see anything wrong as long as it can be appreciated that we can share our experiences with others, except any non-sense comment that makes everything worthless such as one being said, on my own section of sharing an experience over Netplay Gathering. Since I don't mind hearing anything from Laurel who has a bit of weird attitude towards me for his personal reason, but that doesn't mean that he should post a comment that can disrepsect other members in that section that we all must share, but not to just make fun about for no matter what it is. I'd only tried to pick something that I could at least share with in my own thought. It was meant to be a opened discussion if anyone have any suggestion, or different thought about. Instead, I haven't heard anything much as yet which is O.K, but I am still trying to update or add more for the community. If it is not too much to ask, I wish people could show some respect before to make any comment in these sections. It is very O.K with me as long as it is not too rude, or absurd comment, but it can never be O.K with me for a comment that disrespects a sincere effort of sharing an experience for good, or bad that we should share with. As I said, If I can take such a comment as a freindly joke and then, what happens to other person that makes him worse than being called "a noob", and someone who he (Laurel) doesn't even know personally to make such a comment like that? I would be confused who is a real noob, or who is not in that sense because it is neither helpful, nor sharing any.
Therefore, for the reason that Vansible has, I may only assume, but I am afraid to say this that Vansible might have an impression on that issue as what some people would not appreciate for no matter what.
Back to the story, When I was playing with Van in that Inp, or Video Clip, I had about 85ms to 90ms, but I was lucky on the day that it was playable, but no matter what, it was still not a decent ping which was usual for what I would get in those EasyCoast server. And there was Nwaps who was also from Canada, watching our games throughout the entire 12 matches till the end. As long as I'd enjoy playing the game for fun, I do not understand the point of sharing a decent match Inp which was a question by Laurel, who says, "Where is my Inp?"
I hope we can share anything, but I think Vansible is right about one thing that he said, It is just Inp file that should be shared like others, only if it is not too much to ask; however, sometimes, some people may not want to be a part of sharing at the moment that I or anyone should respect, so, it should not be posted without a permission in that case.
I may only assume that Vansible forgot to say that he didn't even record Inp file that he'd played with Laurel. Otherwise, I wish Van could share with us just like me who doesn't mind sharing in the same way, and additionally, I liked it. Thanks once again, Vansible
!
I am in the WestCoast of U.S. And, Vansible, Nswap, and those Chines Canadians are all in Canada. In that case, no matter how far of the distance between Vansible and Dobba (Laurel), I think it is still O.K to share something if anyone understands how I'd played with Vansible while I had about "85ms ~ 90ms" ping with not only him, but also Nwap who were watching the game throughout the entire match.
Thanks for being a memeber....
Pat
P.S... To avoid a confusion about being respecful of what I said, let me add something about a comment on Moonruler's video if anyone remebers. It was posted way before he joined in our community. As I said once, it was meant to be a freindly joke for our community members, but not for outsiders to be understood in a same manner. Since there was a trouble on that issue, and Moonruler became a member who'd came out of nowhere, but still welcomed to be a part of, I've also suggested if a post should be deleted upon a request of person himself which hasn't been asked by; however,
I do hope everything works out from now on that we should still respect to each other, and personally to our admin, Vansible which follows the comment about a recent issue that disputes over a lack of leadership or what not. I totally disagree with that translated comment or whatever, but I hope people understand that this is a community site. We should try to share more as we could, but also we should be responsible for what we do before to ask for what's missing, or lack of whatever that doesn't apply to anyone that includes our admin, Vansible himself. Therefore, I may only feel sorry for being a part of the disputed side in that issue but, I have to disagree with everything being said besides the fact. Let's hope that we are here to share something and enjoy any activity for fun.
Unless you are just a bad person who doesn't want anything but a trouble, more you can appreciate of what Van has done (if you can't even support), is always better for what you can get as a result for being a part of this community. That helps all of us, so for our admin who can be more helpful as you supports for more.
Thanks once agian...
