Ok here it is. There are alota peeps who think Hanzo sux,but personally, hes my fav charachter and hes really good if you know how to use em. Basically you have to depend on fire, making him an extremely cheap charachter.Get used to it cuz theres alota cheapness in this game (you know what I mean with that Slash Gaira of yours Vans). Anyway,my basic stratedgy is to try and keep my opponent guessin what im gonna do after I throw my fireballs. Quite honestly, fire confusion seems to be hanzos only really good stratedgy but hey as long as it works .

Today let me expand a bit on some of Hanzos strenghts and weaknesses. First off, his biggest weakness is the fact that you just about have to pow him up,otherwise it might be a pretty tough match. This isn't a huge problem to an experienced player, but you have to be able to get the 14 hitter in asap. Of course you dont neccisarily NEED it,but it really helps out alot.Thats because of his flame jugles. If you can grab an opponent with the pow gauge at max (pull or push grab is fine) you can do a pretty damaging and very simple combo (dash+A,qcb+slash, forwardjump+C,z motion+slash). That translates to stunt hit, fireball, jumping hard slash, then grab when you hit the ground. This is probably his most effective combo. However you shouldn't have to absolutly depend on your pow fire either (especially if you dont wanna be cheap). Throwing a fireball at an opponent can open up many options. If he simply blocks, then run up and grab him. If he jumps, dash behind and do a few hits or counter in the air. If he's the kinda person that anticipates it,blocks the fire then trys to counter, then either do a dashing C hit or dashing D followed up by down+A. That's what I mean by fire confusion. You have to manipulate your opponent, then determine what he's gonna do,then counter it with the attack that suits your situation best. Confusion is a ninjas best friend. Now there is one major problem with hanzo that you have to get around. His lack of practical moves. Oh sure,a n00b will fall for his teleports alot, but anyone with experience will block it and punish you for it. This doesnt mean that its totally useless, as I've found many useful situations for both forms hanzo where his teleports have been useful and Im still experimenting now with seeing all the moves it can and cant counter effectivly, but Its usefullness is very limited. Stick with fire and grabs.
