I recall those shirts being pretty popular here as well (hell even my brother had one). They are shirts with characters prints mainly from the samurai shodown 3d series (ss-64, wor and wor2), altought not exclusively. About enja, both him and his counterpart suija haven't made their first appearance in ssV, they actually were both in ss64-2 (wor), which came out in 1998 (shirt from the link is how enja appear in the selection screen as the bust form of kazuki in ss64-2).

Ah, that makes sense. I have friends that make their own tee shirts (come up with their own image, make it in photo shop) and sell them online. But I wonder if there is a company out there that will do custome Hawaiian stlye shirts?

Where do you get those shirts?
It looks cool, but I wonder who would wear them. I personally haven't seen any of those, except some shirt that has a Dragonball Z logo on it. I hope you can update with some more pictures of those. Maybe, I can find something I like to collect.
Thanks Lunar

Well originally I just would find them in "hip-hop" clothing stores. Then I found some online. The links I gave are actual auctions for these shirts, so if u like one, go ahead and bid on it. I've found that to do a search online for these shirts, the best frase to use is anime+hawaiian shirts. Also sometimes samurai+hawaiian. Also you can exange the word hawaiian for bowling. But you will find nothing if you do a search for samurai shodown shirts, becuase all the people who sell these have no clue what samurai shodown is, they just think its some generic anime shirt. Who would wear them you say? I would I preety much only wear hawaiian stlye shirts, I ditched tee shirts when these beuties came out. I got a mass collection of all kinds of these shirts, some with characters I've never seen, some with just simple designs and or caligraphy. Its very comfortable, loose fitting, and it has alot of stlye to it, rather than ur simple tee shirts do. And not to mention 3 yrs ago, when I was in college, I got a "buddah" belly from all the free pizza my roommate was bringing home from his job, and these shirts cover that up real nice

Thanks for the info.
I wouldn't personally have a gut to wear it. I would wear it If I was a teenager.
I was actually looking for something that is collectable item.
Do you have any information about a special edition products for Samurai Shodown Series? It could be anything from an action figure to a mug cup, or even to clothings. If you know anything, I hope you can update some here. I wil check it out.
Thanks Lunar.

Were I live only little kids were those anime hawaian shirts. In my opinion it would look ridiculous for an adult to were those, even If your a Samurai Shodown fan.

Awww, you guys are WUSSIES!! Just kidding. Actually alot of adults wear these shirts out here. Not to mention they only come in adult sizes. Now after they came out I did see some children's' shirts being made like that too, but it was after the fact. But me, I am a SUPA CRAZY kinda guy, Or at least I used to be. I would wear all kinds of crazy stuff around the mall, arcades, clubs, ect... Some of the stuff I would wear would be old style Chinese clothes like a typical kung fu outfit(which is not really a kung fu outfit, its just what typical people used to wear, and still do, in China), a poncho with a Sombrero(was looking for a Mexican Revolution style Bullet chest strap thingy to go with it). Not to mention all the Goth clubs I used to goto, you know dress up in black, white and black face paint(Corpse paint), ect... But thats just me. I guess I'm just one of those wacky artist that likes to kill conformity with a bizarre fashion sense. BUT, I've kinda grown out of that, sadly. Where I live, it would kinda be pointless I guess. geocities.com/lobos_pr/fotos/Samuri3.jpg [/img] geocities.com/lobo_en_fuego/trip/hombre1.jpg [/img] geocities.com/lobos_pr/fotos/alex2.jpg [/img] But I guess I just love to dress up in pseudo costumes. And real costumes at that too. I've been a Pirate in the North Carolina Renaissance fair, and now I am going to be a Biker Scout (a kind of Star Wars Storm Trooper) which is expensive as hell. Anyway, I dont take life too seriously for the most part and I like to have alot of fun. .

OMG...
I appreciate all your interest, but it seems a bit weird. I don't know, dude. I personally would not bring a fantasy into my life style under that circumstances.
C'mon... Going to a Britney Spear's concert, that would be more realistic than going to a place like where people get to wear those clothes, like I've seen on MTV that shows how people are obssesed with Star Wars and stuffs.
I hope I don't see a picture of you, wearing a Hanzo outfit or something, Lunar! That's like an infinite of pro-longing a fantasy into Neverland.
I might have to make a poll about what brand of clothing or what kinda style that our members do wear on a daily basis. I don't expect much but, I hope we can find something in common for a reality-check. I also wonder how much money do people spend on their clothing besides some Hanzo outfit or Star Wars stuff.

I hope I don't see a picture of you, wearing a Hanzo outfit or something, Lunar! That's like an infinite of pro-longing a fantasy into Neverland. I have to disagree. Its fun as long as you dont take it serious. Thing is, you see people who where Basketball, baseball, football clothing walking around in public because they are fans of it, where they play it or not. Its very excepted in society. This is the same Principal, just its not as accepted in society and that doesn't bother me. I rather have an individual mind and do my on thing rather than follow everyone else's example just to fit in. And the fact that new styles come out shows that there are people out there that come up with something that no body else does, but then other people decide they want to emulate that style and copy those people. But basically I say this, if you can find something, ANYTHING that can give you enjoyment, no matter if your the only person that gets enjoyment from it, then go for it and dont care what other people think. Because there are too many bored and jaded people out there who limit them selves to a small world only. I dont think a reality check is needed for most people who cosplay. Sure there are some people who get too obsessed and loose touch, but most of them know they are just fans having a good time. They know there is a time and place for this hobby and their lives dont revolve around it. Its just fun to dress up a few times a year with like minded people at certain events. Open minded people usually tend to have much more fun than close minded people. Hanzo costume.... YES, I never really thought about it before but hey, why not!? Thanx for the inspiration. I mean sure I thought about it long ago and thought it would be too hard to make, but now that I know how to go about making hard armor pieces like for storm troopers, his costume should be easy to make! So if you ever see me in a Hanzo suit, you will have your self to thank for that

Hey, Lunar! I think you should spend more time in a game discussion as well. I just notice that you explain things very clear. You don't sound like someone who has a one-sided thought. I understand clearly now. Please, I hope you don't get it too much twisted into a total disagreeement for my point of view. I do agree that people should find their own interest out of anything that they can enjoy the most. It's just my opinion that I would assume people do not usually wear those in their age of mid-20, or what not. I still would have no problem at all. I just want you to know that. I thought, somehow, I would imagine myself being in a situation that I would ever go cosplaying which seems rather unusual to make a comment in general perspective. Therefore, I'd put my point of view; however, I would not want to make any further comment that would interfere with someone's own individuality that I must respect. I really respect your thought that makes a total sense. If I'd talk about any of my own interests, my point of view would be still as clear as your thought. Therefore, once again, I can only agree, but not even to make it into a disagreement. It is very good to hear your thought that sounds very sincere and honest. I do really appreciate, Lunar! I hope to here more from you in a game discussion as well. You are very welcomed to be a part of. P.S... Here is something that you might like. I just found this while posting a clip. Thanks for being a member! Pat
